Leaders Lead, not Leave

Of all the leaders throughout history it is rare to find a leader who leaves what they are doing. This is probably the number one requirement of a leader.

Leading means never leaving. The captain goes down with the ship or is the hero of the battle. The general takes responsibility by taking care of his men.

So it is in business too. After all, the idea is to have a business that you are in charge of so you don’t have to work for someone else. As a business leader, you may serve others, but you don’t work for them, you help them out. So leaving, would mean quitting on yourself and to the things that you have committed to.

Leaders don’t punch clocks, they are always on duty. Sure, they make take breaks, go on vacations or to the beach on the weekends, but, they don’t leave their tribe behind.

What kind of leader would a person if they said, ”Follow me, I’ll lead the way!” and then turn around sneak out the back door. It just isn’t good.

Having never had the responsibity of leadership, it seems that one of the biggest things that impresses me about true leaders is that they are omnipresent.

You feel their influence even if they are not there.

In the world of internet network marketing, it is very possible to create this sort of legacy, because you can automate your presence, show up everyday as someone who is there and is going to be there and is not going to run to something else.

In all of the history of time, how many leaders actually left out of their own volition. I can’t think of any.

For me, it is a big deal to commit to leadership, to know that people are counting on me to be strong, supportive and communicative, ready to serve.

Nothing is more important than leading a team of entrepreneurs, because it is a leader’s workshop. That is what the business is all about.

As a leader you must show up everyday in your business, ready to help those who lock arms with you and have that staying power that leads to legacy.

Being a leader is a huge responsibility, but it all lies within oneself to dedicate yourself to a mission and be there no matter what, for yourself and for your legacy. You can’t just stop next month, next year or even in decades.

Being a leader is a way of living.

Probably more than any other factor that seperates the self made successes, it is leadership that makes up the 2% that the other 98% is not willing to do.

Until a decision has been made and a committment to stay has been reached, success in any realm is going to be difficult.

Lead by braving the storms, by believing when nobody else does, by showing up when noone else does and by lifting up your army to go into the future with a bold mission.

I don’t ask you to follow me, I ask you to come with me, for we are the leaders of the future and we can change the world, one achievment at a time!
