Opportunities for Families and Organizations That Go Untapped

In the world of affiliate and network marketing families and organizations stand to gain a lot but don’t.

The business model of affiliate and network marketing offer families, businesses and organizations a lot of opportunities that go untapped, and it is a crying shame.

The most famous family of all, the family of Israel is based on one principle, be fruitful and multiply. What is the family of Israel, Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham in fact. Jacob had 12 sons, and they each grew families denoted by the name of the son. From that, the nation grew and is sustained today as an entire culture, a religion and a nation.

My point here is, that by staying together and more importantly, being in business together, the Jewish nation, the family of Jacob, has endured great difficulties and enjoy fantastic success all over the world in many different nations.

The reason is that through history they have been in business together, worldwide. It isn’t a plot for worldwide domination, it is a way to guarantee success for your people.

Network marketing is a business based on such an idea. It is a great idea, and it works well, for people who are able to build such a family.

My question is, why don’t families, which already have a structure, take advantage of it and create financial success for everyone in their family by working together, bring in other families and keep building the organization through the spirit of family.

It isn’t just families, it is organizations, like Greeks in universities, or clubs of like minded enthusiasts such as golfers, or sailors, skiers, communities of people already in place, to build the business and help everyone in their organizations do well.

A church that needs to raise money for it’s programs, could also help out it’s congregation by leading a program where the members can earn more money, so they can tithe more and everyone wins.

I know families who have worked together in network marketing with tremendous success and I know the owners of companies, and successfull network marketers whose families have no idea how they earn their living, or are simply against it and still think that it is some sort of scam.

That is sillly. It is nothing more than a referral business, and working in referrals is how the nation of Israel has grown it’s numbers. Not as a physical nation, but as a nation of influence. There is probably no other family on earth that has more influence in the world of finance, law, the arts, medicine, philosophy and science than the family of Israel. In fact, I am not sure where we would be without them. It isn’t their genetics that make this nation what it is, it is their ”network.”

Today, all over the world people struggle financially, and the reason is that they have no structure of interrelated self interest.  The father is a doctor, the mother is a teacher, the son is a lawyer and the daughter an actress, all working seperately trying to do what they love and earn a living, having new families again with separate interests and separate financial goals, everyone pullling their own weight up the steep hill of life.

If families would simply work together on ONE thing, it would change all of their lives forever, but families don’t think that way anymore. Everyone is doing their own thing and really all that does is slow down their progress.

Network marketing isn’t there to replace professions it is there to make it possible for people to thrive in their professions, buy building mutual benefit and trust.

What if a medical doctor could practice medicine without the need to make money from it?  What if lawyers could practice law without the need to make money from it?  What would happen if scientists could work with a free hand, doing exactly what they are interested and passionate in, to explore that world without any regard to earning an income or having a shortage of funds to do the research necessary.

How would the world look then?

On mistake that many people in network marketing make is the idea that people go to colleges and universities to learn an occupation to make an income. Maybe for many that is true, and I am sure there are a lot of doctors, lawyers and business people who do what they do because they can make a lot of money doing it, but that was not the case for me, nor is it for I believe the majority of people who go to college.

I went to college to find and do something I was passionate about, music.. I had long been passionate about it, but I hadn’t considered it as a ”profession” because I was interested in rock music, and you don’t need a degree in rock music to be a successful rock musician, in fact, it slows you down. But, when I got into opera, that was a different matter, because you needed the structure of a university to be able to try out your wares before you went out into the real world. It is a different game.

So, going to universities was really about becoming educated and practiced in what I love doing, NOT necessarily to make a lot of money, which, regardless of the idealistic nature of anything such as the arts, a necessity if you want to be able to keep on doing it.

That is why my suggestion to families, organizations and businesses to earn their living working together in a network marketing business, and build a life of passion and happiness thereafter, doing whatever they want, whether it be mountain climbing or needlepoint. You are earning the money for your existence, building a family of self interested parties to create wealth to do the things that actually make life worth living….

…and END the misery of the financial sickness that encompasses the world today. It is unnecessary.

Today, there are more ways to earn money independently than ever before. The job market shrinks as technology grows, and people are still hacking away at jobs that don’t pay the bills.  It is stupid. That is insane.

Jobs are great. But, with benefits provided by employers and government security instruments, what the western world economic model has created is a dependency on jobs to solve the economic problems of the world….

…and that isn’t working very well anymore, is it?

The most successful families are the families that are in business together and stay together.  They build a legacy.

Lets take Warren Buffet for instance, he says he isn’t ”giving” his fortune to his children, that he wants them to earn it themselves.  I understand what he is saying by doing this, teaching self reliance and the such, great, very noble.

BUT IT IS STUPID.

People have gotten the idea that work is hard, and that happiness can only be found when you retire or you have enough money to live like a king.  Who wants to be a freaking king?  Basically royalty has become a joke, they don’t do anything, really. Okay, they might do some good by donating money, or giving people hope or what not, but I can’t think of a single member of a royal family that is good at anything except wearning great clothes, riding a horse, sitting at dinners or watching parades and being the subject of paparrazzi attacks.

They don’t play an instrument, they don’t write novels, they don’t run businesses, they don’t play sports at any level of excellence, whoever heard of royalty being a doctor or lawyer.

Somewhere our society has gotten the idea that just because you have a lot of money, you don’t have to work, when work is what we are all meant to do, not in the slave sense of the word, but in the fulfillment of excellence towards a thing of passion.

This is what financial success should be about, not driving great cars, or living in lavish homes or carelessly spending money on overpriced luxury items just because you can, but to free you up to add to the world in a special way doing what you are special at and love.

The building of a legacy is what an existence is about. Leaving your personal next generation a seed to grow into something bigger and even more special.

It is all about doing what you love as your work of excellence without the encumbrance of having to make a damn dollar. Life should be about excellence not about making ends meet.

My great grandfather was a farmer and built a legacy, but he didn’t know how to manage that legacy other than to simply divide up his land and give it to his 5 daughters and 1 son. That is basically no plan.

Still, the small percentage of what my father inherited has changed the life of our family in a dramatic way. Admiringly, my parents have been excellent stewards of this legacy and have built upon it, ever so slightly.

We lease our land out to two farmers now, one is a family of farmers and the other is the son of the man who farmed my grandfather’s land. So, you see, our land is being farmed because of a family lineage of farmers.

The one family have 4 brothers that work together. They farm I guess 10,000 acres or so, some they own and some they rent. But, the point is, their operation is capable of doing 16 times the work, than if they were all working alone. These farmers have children who also will be involved in the farm business, growing it even more.

The point I am trying to make is, families that are in business together can thrive much easier than if they all are working alone.  Today, with network marketing types of businesses, this gives families the opportunity to work on ONE THING together, to build a legacy for all in that family, so that each member of the family can do what they are best at and love without having to worry about money so much.

Network marketing will succeed, because it does not care who is doing it, just that they are doing it, and building building a business is actually building a legacy, for yourself and for your family.

It doesn’t take a thousand people, it takes families working together to help other families do the same thing. The family that works together in harmony, is strong.

“I am a revolutionary so my son can be a farmer so his son can be a poet.”

John Adams, 2nd President of the United States

This is the essence of what a legacy is. Today, a person can be a poet AND a farmer. Our highest calling is NOT to make money, but to make money to serve our highest calling.

Families working together can do this, if they just would.

It really isn’t about the product, it isn’t about anything except being in business together to free everyone up to be their best self.

This is what the Empower Network is about. To empower people, families anyone, to build a serious income, a family of independents working in concert with each other through the structure of the business, to create a life of significance and to free people from a life of meager and meaningless toil.
