Eric Worre’s Recording ”Call to Action” Applies Today

There is not a whole lot to add to this call to action from Eric Worre in a speech he gave in 1993.  It is amazing to me that when I say to most of the people I know that I believe in Network Marketing as a solid business opportunity and a place to develop skills that it is somehow wrong or a stupid thing to do.  We have been trained to be dependent on jobs and government to give us our security.  I have always wanted to an entrepreneur and it is quite a stretch because practically no one I know, not to mention my whole family has ever done it.

The Call to Action Is A Personal Declaration of Independence

The truth is, you can’t be free unless you claim it for yourself.  This call to action is a reminder that in fact the United States is based on the entrepreneur spirit and that starting your own business is the most patriotic thing you can do.  This holds true not only for the United States, but the world over.  Governments everywhere are doing everything they can to get people to start their own business, because this is where job creation comes from.  The more people who own businesses the more services are needed to support them and the more money that flows.  It is simply good for everybody. So why people are scared to death to start their own business in this profession is simply incomprehensable.

Call to Action Fades Due To The Fear Of Loss

The call to action riles people up at first and then fear sets in and keeps people from being bold and venturing into new unknown areas.  The point isn’t to ignore fears but to recognize what they are.

There are three fears that keep people from moving forward in the profession:

1-Fear of Loss                                                                                                                                                     2-Fear of Not Being Good Enough                                                                                                             3-Fear of looking foolish.

These fears need to be replaced with:

1-Desire for Gain                                                                                                                                             2-Desire to improve                                                                                                                                       3-Desire to be courageous
