Red Towel Spirit From The Beginning

I was born with a football in my hands. Literally. My father was a football coach in Louisville back in the day, so I grew up watching football all of my life. I love sports, I love football and basketball and even though I am not an athelete, I am pretty good at some skills.

When I was about 5 my father got a position at Western Kentucky University, state college back then, and we moved to Bowling Green. My brother and I both attended the Training School on campus and we went to every game we could, and loved every minute. E. A. Diddle lived behind the Training School and we saw him fairly often before we left for the University of Alabama so pops could get his PhD.  I remember Uncle Ed fondly and thought he was sort of a character, but no one questions that he was one of the best basketball coaches to ever live.

The Red Towel is a legacy that Diddle left behind, and the mottos 'The Spirit Makes the Master' and Life More Life are inscribed in the seal of the university. Spirit, enthusiasm and a never give up attitude is what the Red Towel Spirit is all about.

So, I am excited to be able to use the Blogbeast to blog about something I love. This is absolutely cool!

So, get ready, cause I will be commenting and posting videos, pics and articles about WKU sports!

Lets have some fun!
