Mistaking Friends and Family for Potential Business Partners

I have long since decided that friends and family are the last people I will talk to about my business, if I ever talk to them about it. 

Why do I make such a statement? 

Well, when you go into network marketing the consensus is that you simply tell your ”warm market” about the business you just got into and that you would like to build a team with them in it. 

Boy, is that a load of huey! 

Sure, I thought it made perfect sense too. I mean, you get brother Joe on your left team and sister Nancy on your right team and they get their boyfriend or girlfriend into it and then they show it their family and a couple of friends and soon you have a team built, based on knowing each other and sort of having fun working together to help each other build an income. 

Ultimately, your little team has grown organically with a little effort and you are earning a living income on that effort. So are the people on your team. 

Really, sort of a hobby based idea, something you just do on the side for kicks. Why not? Making extra money is a good idea, especially when practically all of your friends and family are penching pennies every day of their lives. 

Well, it is BS. Maybe it works for families and friends who are business minded, but for those who come from the J O B club, this will never ever make any sense to them whatsoever. 

With a salaried income you are limited to how much money you can make.  Truth be told, the reason things are priced the way they are in society is due to the amount of money people get paid at jobs, and that keeps prices cheap, so everyone makes less money. 

Sales, price cuts, good deals…are these things supposed to grow our economy and create jobs?  The interest rate on bank balances is barely above zero! How much lower can savings go, how much can you continue to reduce spending until that what you buy is essentially worthless. 

It doesn’t matter and I have been greatly releaved of stress not trying to convince myself that Granny would be interested in making more money. 

Trying to prospect friends and family makes life miserable for me.  It turns people you love and care about into raw meat to be cooked on the grill of sales and I hate looking at my loved ones as sale to be converted. That ruins everything for me, and it doesn’t go over well with people either. 

They are not the answer to your financial problems, you are. It is unprofessional to hit on friends and family to get them into your business, and I will not do it anymore. It has caused me and them pain in the past. 

That is one of the reasons I got involved in the Empower Network, they were the first company to say that you didn’t have to hit on loved ones, cruise Walmart, call leads and set up three way calls forever. I never liked that part of Network Marketing and I won’t do that. 

I know that this is how most people have made it in network marketing, but I won’t and can’t make it that way. 

This is why I turn to you, the reader, the listener and those who are looking for a way to build an income online.

Buy the products ONCE, sell it as many times as you want, keep the money as if you were the one who created the company.
